The Animal Foundation offering $XLIX ($49) adoption fees in honor of Super Bowl XLIX

The Animal Foundation, Nevada’s largest open admission animal shelter, announced today that is will celebrate Super Bowl XLIX by reducing adoption fees for all dogs 1 year and older to just $49Friday, January 30 through Sunday, February 1. More than 100 dogs currently qualify for the Super Bowl XLIX adoption special.

“Whether you’re a Seahawks fan or a Patriots fan, we’re sure everyone can agree that our shelter dogs are amazing, and deserving of wonderful homes,” said Meghan Scheibe, marketing and public relations manager for The Animal Foundation. “Adopting a homeless dog in need while taking advantage of deeply discounted adoption fees will definitely make your family feel like the big winners this weekend.”

The Super Bowl XLIX adoption special is valid January 30 – February 1at The Animal Foundation’s two adoption centers: The Animal Foundation’s Campus Adoption Center PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Center 655 N. Mojave Road, Las Vegas 286 W. Lake Mead Parkway, Henderson Open Daily, 11am–7pm Open Daily, 9am–8pm (closing 7pm on Sundays) Discounted adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, up to date vaccines, and more. An additional $10 city license fee may apply. Potential adopters must complete an adoption counseling process.

Hop on Board Mac King’s Magical Literacy Tour in Conjunction with Nevada Reading Week 2015

Harrah’s Headliner and Comedy-Magician Mac King invites the public to jump on board this February as he embarks on Mac King’s Magical Literacy Tour: Nevada Reading Week 2015. Throughout the month of February, King is partnering with the YMCA of Southern Nevada, The Toy Box and Splash Studios LLC to collect books for elementary school children in local at-risk schools. Donate three or more new or gently used children’s books at any of the locations below to receive a pair of tickets to The Mac King Comedy Magic Show and special offers from the host venue. King will personally deliver the books to kids in at-risk schools on March 2 – March 6, during Nevada Reading Week 2015.

Blog: Build an Effective Advertisement – Get the Most Out of Your Design

It’s a new year, and that means taking inventory on what you’re doing right, and what you may be able to improve on. This can include cutting a few desserts during the week, spending more time away from your computer or, more tactically, figuring out better and more effective ways to get the most out of how you are marketing your business (*cough* advertising *cough*).

When you have a lot to say and short time to say it, you’ve got to be able to prioritize how and why you’re telling your story. This is no different from an advertisement. For many of you traditional advertising, like in magazines, is the portion of your marketing mix that reinforces your brand as well as brings in current and new customers with deals and calls to action. This month, I challenge you to take a look at the ads you have running and ask yourself a couple of questions:

Is your brand name, logo and contact information obvious and easy to find?
Is your Call-to-Action clear?
Does your ad look appealing to the type of customer you are seeking to capture?
What can you do to make your ad even better than it already is?

Fiesta Rancho SoBe Ice Arena offers free ice skating lessons to commemorate National Ice Skating Month Games, demonstrations and more as well as complimentary Las Vegas Academy of Skating signups offered

In honor of January’s National Skating Month, the team at Fiesta Rancho SoBe Ice Arena is encouraging guests of all ages to get on the ice with free skate rentals and group lessons for skaters of all ability levels on Wednesday, January 28. Guests ages 3 and older are encouraged to participate, and games and prizes will add to the fun.

Coaches from the Las Vegas Academy of Skating will be on hand and offering skating tips, followed by group lessons according to age and level of skating. Following, both local figure skaters and hockey players will put on a brief exhibition before opening the ice rink back up for fun Olympic-style games.

**Fiesta Rancho will also be taking signups for guests to schedule a complimentary lesson with a professional coach from Las Vegas Academy of Skating**

COST:

FREE – admission, skate rental and lessons all included

Wednesday, January 28
3:30-5:30 p.m.

3:30-4:30 p.m. – Free skate and group lessons provided by Las Vegas Academy of Skating coaches
